The predicted salary is between 20000 - 20000 £ per year.

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

  • Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
  • Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
  • Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
  • Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
  • Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Skills Required:

No previous pharmacy experience is required; full training is provided.

Apprenticeship details:

  • Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
  • GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
  • For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided:

  • Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Duration: Typically 15 months. Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning. Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours.
