The predicted salary is between 25145 - 30733 £ per year.

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support the day-to‑day work of the laboratory, assisting with testing, preparing samples and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

You will be trained and supported throughout the apprenticeship.

Key duties include

  • Assisting with laboratory tests and experiments under supervision
  • Preparing samples, materials and equipment for testing
  • Accurately recording results and maintaining laboratory records
  • Cleaning, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
  • Following health & safety procedures and quality standards
  • Working as part of a team to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
  • An interest in science and laboratory work
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Basic IT skills

GCSEs

GCSEs (or predicted grades), particularly Maths and Science, are desirable but not essential, GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.
