Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward‑thinking organisation. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:
- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and fault diagnosis on electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, system panels, and Building Management Systems.
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems such as HVAC, pumps, motors, compressed air systems, and water treatment plant.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting general building services including plumbing, drainage, and building systems.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, site procedures, and safety standards, while maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing required documentation.
- Working as part of a shift team, responding to breakdowns and ensuring continuity of operations across the site.
- Effectively communicating with the site team, client representatives, and stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and site issues.
- Identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and reliability of plant and equipment.
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identifying and escalating complex issues to specialist teams or management as required.
To be successful for this Electrical Engineer role you must have:
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
- Proven experience as a Multiskilled Shift Engineer or Electrical Maintenance Engineer within a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems and building services.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
