We are looking for a Mobile Gas Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
As the Mobile Gas Engineer you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
The Mobile Gas Engineer, will be responsible for:
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete all relevant reports and documentation.
- Conduct reactive and emergency repairs.
- Ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within required legislative timescales.
- Accurately complete and submit certifications and remedial work reports.
- Use handheld technology effectively for task updates and documentation.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support to clients.
- Support colleagues and respond to requests from the Supervisor or Contract Manager.
- Monitor and supervise sub-contractors, ensuring quality and compliance with Health & Safety standards.
- Issue Permits to Work and control small works or escort duties when needed.
- Identify and report additional work opportunities, sourcing and providing information for quotations.
To be successful for this Mobile Gas Engineer role you must have:
- City & Guilds Level II/III qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on:
- Boiler plants
- Ventilation systems
- Pumps and generators
- Electrical systems (e.g., switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, lighting)
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Effective use of technology for reporting and compliance documentation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency callouts when needed.
