We are looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. As the Mobile Fabric Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services. Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market-leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long-term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking all building fabric activities such as patch repairs, minor plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Painting and decorating all to the highest level of service for the client.
  • You should be capable of working to high levels of health and safety and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
  • You will be required to answer queries and report any defects.
  • Keep the client informed of site activities at the time of the service visit.

Requirements:

  • You will have a full current driving licence and be IT literate for record keeping.
  • Have good customer service skills.
  • Be physically able to carry out the full duties detailed in the job description.
  • Previous experience in a Fabric Engineer role.
  • You’ll need to be highly self-motivated and solutions-focused with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.
  • The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities or mobile maintenance, construction sector, or similar.
  • Be qualified to either Level 2/3 City and Guilds.
