Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Water Hygiene Technician to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for a Water Hygiene Technician who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

The Water Hygiene Technician will be responsible for:

  • Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8.
  • Maintain our customer's waterlog books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
  • To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.
  • Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
  • Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
  • Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible for is properly maintained.

To be successful for this Water Hygiene Technician role you must have:

  • Previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is essential.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
  • The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.
