Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:
- Statutory and operational PPMs and reactive repairs, including safe isolation, fault finding and remedial works.
- Lead emergency lighting testing, remedial works, minor installations and electrical safety tasks.
- Support weekly fire alarm testing, sprinkler bell tests and assist with detection system fault resolution.
- Provide electrical input for office moves, small works and power adjustments.
- Participate in general building tasks (basic plumbing, fabric support, minor handyman tasks, etc) when required.
- Maintain accurate PDA/CAFM records and follow safety procedures, including Lock Out / Tag Out and Permit to Work.
- Manage and escort contractors on site, ensuring safe systems of work, inductions and permit processes are followed.
- Participate in on call rota and attend out of hours calls as required.
