Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
Role Responsibilities
- Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial electrical installations
- Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Inspection & Testing in accordance with BS 7671
- Identify faults, defects, deviations, and non-compliances within electrical systems
- Correctly code observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications while maintaining clear and auditable testing records, schedules, and certification
- Work in strict compliance with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, and company procedures
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent
- Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, safety standards, and testing procedures
- Ability to produce clear, accurate, professional reports
- Full UK driving licence
