Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Engineer - HVAP to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer - HVAP who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Electrical Engineer - HVAP, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services. The Electrical Engineer - HVAP will be responsible for:

  • Lead and coordinate shift engineering operations within a critical environment
  • Monitor and manage plant performance via BMS and CAFM systems
  • Ensure all PPMs, reactive tasks, and statutory compliance activities are completed within SLA
  • Manage HVAP responsibilities including isolations, permits to work, and safe systems of work
  • Oversee incident management, escalations, and emergency response procedures
  • Maintain accurate shift logs, technical reports, and operational documentation
  • Supervise contractors and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide shift cover and operational support when required

To be successful for this Electrical Engineer - HVAP role you must have:

  • NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Previous experience in a critical environment/data centre/high-profile commercial site
  • HV Authorised Person (HVAP) status essential
  • Strong understanding of critical M&E systems, BMS, and CAFM platforms
  • Experience leading engineering teams in a shift environment
  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
