Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Garden Machinery Technician to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. We are looking for a Garden Machinery Technician who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.
As the Garden Machinery Technician, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
Responsibilities:- Carry out winter servicing and ad hoc repairs of petrol and battery-powered grounds maintenance machinery
- Service, maintain and repair gritting hoppers and associated equipment
- Fit vehicles with gritting wiring harnesses and ancillary equipment
- Notify the Senior Mechanic of required consumables and parts and complete weekly timesheets
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, take responsibility for your workstation, and manage your time effectively
- Passion for machinery and a willingness to learn and develop; industry related qualifications are desirable
- Ideally have an understanding of electronics
- Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as good IT skills
- Commercial awareness and a flexible approach to work
- Full UK driving licence
