Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation working at Heathrow Airport. We are looking for an Electrical Shift Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
As the Electrical Shift Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services and carry out other multi-skilled tasks as required. The Electrical Shift Engineer will be responsible for:
- Carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks across electrical distribution systems and associated plant/equipment.
- Calibrating electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant to optimise both reliability and maintainability.
- Investigating faults, identifying causes, and effecting remedies.
- Providing a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met.
- Monitoring BMS for running and alarm conditions.
- Conducting building walk-rounds and taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
- Preparing accurate and timely reports as required.
- Ensuring corrective and repair works are carried out in accordance with current PPM regulations.
- Assisting with installation works when required.
To be successful for this Electrical Shift Engineer role you must have:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline).
- 18th Edition.
- Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
- Able to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
