We are looking for an Chef who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
The Chef, will be responsible for:
* Make sure the kitchen and serving areas run smoothly and meet all health and safety rules.
* Help and guide staff daily to make sure the catering service runs well.
* Organise the day-to-day work in the kitchen and food areas, making sure tasks are shared out and work is done efficiently.
* Help prepare food in a cost-effective way, making sure it meets high standards and any special dietary needs.
* Support and guide staff and residents to do their best and follow all rules and standards.
* Keep an eye on how staff and residents are working, and help with searches when needed, to keep everyone safe and meet health and safety rules.
* Keep track of all equipment and supplies to make sure everything is secure.
* Keep records up to date and make sure all labels and paperwork are correct.
* Make sure the kitchen and food areas are clean and equipment is safe to use.
* Handle routine questions or problems, and report any bigger issues to the right person.
* Accept deliveries and store supplies safely and securely.
* Report any incidents that could affect the running of the centre or the safety and wellbeing of residents, staff, or contractors.
To be successful for this Chef role you must have:
* Food Hygiene Level 2
