Role: Senior Credit Risk Analyst - 9 month FTC
Location: Doncaster or Manchester (Hybrid, initially 2-3 days/week in office, reducing to 1 day)
Salary: Circa £53K + benefits
A growing specialist bank at the forefront of consumer and commercial lending is looking for two Senior Credit Risk Analysts to join their Credit Acquisitions team on a project-focused 9-month FTC. These are hands-on analytical roles sitting within the acquisition credit risk function, working across consumer and commercial lending with a specific focus on new business performance and underwriting.
This is a great opportunity to get stuck into a defined, high-impact project within a business that has real depth of expertise in specialist lending, working alongside an experienced credit risk team.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing, delivering and monitoring credit risk strategies.
- Analysing acquisition strategy and processes to provide insight and recommendations to Credit management.
- Setting and monitoring credit risk performance against agreed plans and targets.
- Producing high-quality MI and presenting findings to Credit Committees and senior stakeholders.
- Being a key point of contact for operational and sales teams on credit policy and processes.
- Supporting QA checks on underwriting and affordability assessments.
- Owning projects and representing Credit on working groups.
- Engaging in governance activities including policy reviews, audit remediation, incident management and escalation.
So, if you have experience in:
- A Credit Risk role within Financial Services.
- Writing code confidently, SAS, SQL, Alteryx or similar.
- Designing and implementing credit acquisition strategy including policies, underwriting, bureau data and credit systems.
- Communicating complex information clearly to senior management and non-credit colleagues alike.
- Working independently while coaching and supporting teammates.
