Role: Senior Credit Risk Modeller (Development or Validation) – Retail IRB
Location: London (mix of office and client based)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a consultancy that’s small, founder-led and trusted by some of the best-known names in banking. The team may be lean, but the work is meaningful. They’re a thoughtful, technically strong group of people doing high-quality work across credit risk, modelling and analytics.
After a number of exciting project wins, they’re now looking for experienced credit risk modellers and validators to take the lead across retail IRB portfolios. You’ll be involved in model build and/or review and validation work, while helping clients navigate changing regulatory expectations and delivering real insight along the way.
So, if you have:
- Strong experience across IRB modelling or validation in retail credit
- A solid understanding of PD, LGD or EAD methodologies
- Experience owning workstreams or delivering directly to clients
- Comfort working with complex data and regulatory requirements
- A structured, independent approach to technical delivery
And can:
- Lead delivery of IRB model build or review projects for major clients
- Work closely with clients to understand scope, priorities and risks
- Carry out robust documentation and communicate findings clearly
- Challenge assumptions and contribute to internal best practice
- Represent the consultancy with confidence and professionalism
Then this could be a brilliant opportunity to step into a high-trust, high-impact role with the support of a team that really knows their stuff.
We’re happy to send over the full spec or chat through what makes this team a great one to be part of. Just let us know what works best for you.
*They are able to offer sponsorship for this position, however UK experience is needed*
