An award-winning UK bank is looking for an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join their team. This role offers real mandate authority, multi-asset exposure, and the kind of influence that makes a difference. You will be underwriting complex deals across SME asset finance, leasing, BTL, motor finance, and property development, leading on SME asset specifically while providing critical second line oversight across the wider book.
Responsibilities include:
- Sanctioning equipment finance deals
- Chairing Credit Risk Reviews
- Working on strategic lending initiatives
- Operating across multiple asset classes with genuine mandate authority
- Challenging constructively and supporting the business
- Chairing committees and influencing stakeholders
- Working autonomously and adding value
Experience required:
- Holding and operating personal mandate authority
- Multi-asset underwriting, particularly in SME asset finance and leasing
- Commercial underwriting with strong balance sheet and capital knowledge
- Second line quality assurance and risk oversight
- Working with complex corporate structures and lending entities
Package includes: £60k-£75k plus profit-related pay, up to 10% employer pension, and an annual Share Save Scheme at a discounted rate. Time off includes 25-30 days holiday (increases with service) plus your birthday, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. Flexibility is offered with a genuinely hybrid model - 2 days in office (one must be Solihull), rest from home.
