Our client is a small and very friendly Property Management Company, seeking a local experienced, self-motivated Bookkeeper to maintain their Office Accounts, providing a complete trial balance, including standard accounting practice, such as accruals, pre-payments and depreciation. The position is office based only, working alongside two Client Accounting Managers.
You will be SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for managing Office Accounts, and duties will include:
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping files and records (both digital and hardcopy/filing)
- Creating Management Accounts
- Liaising with payroll and inputting monthly payroll journals
- Maintaining, preparing, and submitting VAT returns
- Ensuring all invoices are correctly approved before entering them onto the system for payment
- Chasing missing paperwork – internally (with M C Staff) / externally (with Suppliers)
- Dealing with creditors and debtors
- Dealing with general enquiries
- Addressing supplier queries
- Paying creditors and taxes/VAT
- Banking any cheques at the Post Office
- Entering credit card and cash expenses to the general ledger
- Bank reconciliation
