Mechanical Assembly Operatives
Our client are seeking mechanical assembly operatives to join their close-knit manufacturing team. You’ll help build our cutting-edge vehicles at both the structural and mechanical stages.
** Our client has other mechanical assembly roles that require a mechanical background who have a passion for vehicles**
If you have worked in the automotive industry, this would be a distinct advantage. You will assemble engines, gearboxes, heavy duty suspension and HV electrical systems. You will
develop processes to integrate HGV components into their designs, collaborate with marine and automotive engineers to improve build procedures, ensure welding meets safety standards for land and water use, inspect components and flag any defects to the shop foreman, contribute to problem-solving and engineering improvements, assist with testing and development (may involve overtime and travel), record key data (e.g. torque settings, serial numbers) in the build log and maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and address any hazards.
What You’ll Need
An understanding of engines, transmissions, and braking systems, relevant technical certification, high mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and within a team, welding, fabrication, or machining skills (advantageous but not essential), ability to read engineering drawings (preferred), experience in low-volume vehicle production (preferred), strong communication and problem-solving skills and a Full UK driver’s licence
Salary £Negotiable depending on experience
