Horticultural Technician

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Horticultural Service Technician to join their existing team at their branch in the Surbiton area. Role Purpose: Reporting to the Service Manager, your responsibility will be to repair and maintain all equipment associated with domestic groundcare machinery sold by the company\’s sales department. Main Responsibilities: v Repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Groundcare machinery including tractors less than 140 HP. v Knowledge of Utility Vehicles, Tractors and or commercial Grass Cutting Machinery. v Diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs. v Lifting of heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools v Liaise with customers and suppliers as required. v Complete in full the job cards relating to work undertaken including machine detail, time and mileage and any accompanying documentation such as PDI sheets, Delivery forms and Photo\’s as necessary. v Attend training courses as required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding Role Requirements: v Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods v Able to work alone and on your own initiative v Maintain a good general level of health and fitness v Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role Hours: 39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1hr unpaid lunch) Salary £Competitive Surbiton Area
