HGV or Specialist Service Technician

Our client is looking for experienced HGV or Specialised Technicians to join their close-knit manufacturing team. You will help build their cutting-edge vehicles at both the structural and mechanical stages.\\n\\n** Our client has other mechanical-based jobs available. If you are a reliable, detail-oriented individual and have a passion for vehicles, then please send your CV**\\n\\nResponsibilities:\\nAssemble HGV engines, gearboxes, heavy-duty suspension, and HV electrical systems .

Develop processes to integrate HGV components into their wonderful designs. Collaborate with marine and automotive engineers to improve build procedures. Ensure welding meets safety standards for land and water use.

Inspect components and flag any defects to the shop foreman. Contribute to problem-solving and engineering improvements. Assist with testing and development (may involve overtime and travel).

Record key data (e.g. torque settings, serial numbers) in the build log. Maintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and address any hazards.\\n\\nWhat You’ll Need\\nStrong understanding of engines, transmissions, and braking systems\\nRelevant technical certification\\nHigh mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail\\nAbility to work independently and within a team\\nWelding, fabrication, or machining skills (advantageous but not essential)\\nAbility to read engineering drawings (preferred)\\nExperience in low-volume vehicle production (preferred)\\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills\\nFull UK drivers licence\\n£Negotiable depending on experience\\nSLOUGH
