Following a successful year of continued growth, our client is expanding their engineering team and is looking for a Trainee Field Engineer to join their manufacturer-approved team, covering Surrey, Middlesex, Hampshire and London. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Trainee Field Engineer, you’ll be trained to carry out a varied range of field-based engineering duties, including:
- Annual servicing of products
- Call-outs, repairs and maintenance
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Risk assessments and technical documentation
- Digital surveying – full training provided
- Product installation – full training provided
- Providing a high standard of customer service
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to learn. Ideally, you’ll have some experience working in a technical, mechanical or electrical environment, but this isn’t essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. You’ll need:
- A good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering – desirable, not essential
- A full, clean UK driving licence held for at least 3 years
- Previous experience providing a high level of customer service
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Ability to complete a DBS check
- Ideally based in or around South or West London / Greater London
- A suitable and secure location to park the company vehicle overnight
