Our client is looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Day Shift Operator to join their busy operation in Slough, handling a wide range of cargo including chilled, frozen and ambient goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual handling of all types of cargo, including perishable goods in chilled, frozen and ambient temperature environments.
- Operating a fleet of Counterbalance Forklift Trucks (1.5T–8T) safely and efficiently.
- Picking, packing, splitting and sorting shipments accurately and on time.
- Loading and unloading company vehicles, from vans through to articulated lorries, as well as visiting vehicles.
- Building, sorting and stacking aircraft pallets while recording all movements using the warehouse computer system.
- Maintaining accurate warehouse stock records, both electronically and on paper.
- Working closely with the office team, supervisors and warehouse management to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and promoting a clean, safe working environment.
What They’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 years’ warehouse experience
- Previous experience within the Air Freight/Air Cargo industry
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (B1 Classification) (B2 is advantageous but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive attitude and commitment to health and safety
Working Hours: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off, 09:00 – 19:00. This shift pattern offers an excellent work-life balance while providing regular opportunities to increase your earnings through overtime.
