Overview
We are supporting a major investment management client with a series of middle-office transformation initiatives focused on OTC derivatives and collateral. The role sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and change, with a strong emphasis on Aladdin and front-to-back derivatives lifecycle knowledge. This role will suit a Business Analyst or Senior Analyst who has grown up in derivatives operations and transitioned into change, transformation, or platform implementation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Business Analyst supporting middle-office change initiatives across OTC derivatives
- Work closely with operations, technology, and front-office stakeholders to analyse and improve front-to-back derivatives workflows
- Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design
- Support Aladdin-related initiatives, including system migrations, enhancements, and operating model changes
- Provide SME input across:
- Trade lifecycle (capture, confirmation, settlement)
- Collateral and margining (bilateral & cleared)
- Post-trade events and reconciliations
Required Experience
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst / Change / Transformation role within asset or investment management
- Strong hands-on knowledge of OTC derivatives, ideally including IRS, CDS, FX, or equity derivatives
- Solid understanding of middle-office or post-trade operations
- Experience working on systems change or platform implementations
- Comfortable operating as a subject matter expert, not just a documenter
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly Desirable
- Aladdin experience (particularly derivatives, collateral, or middle-office functionality)
- Experience with collateral platforms and vendors such as DTCC, Acadia, Markit, TriResolve, TriOptima
- Background in derivatives operations before moving into change or BA work
- Exposure to large transformation or operating model change programmes
