As a Business Development Manager, you'll focus on generating new business opportunities, specifically targeting the US banking market, by identifying and engaging key decision-makers to create qualified sales opportunities, build relationships, and book technical discovery calls. This role suits someone commercially minded and experienced in consultative, strategic outreach within software sales, ideally to the financial sector.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Identify and engage target banking clients across the US through strategic outbound activity (cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, etc.)
- Qualify prospects by understanding their business drivers, technology landscape, and effectively position relevant software solutions
- Schedule and coordinate technical discovery meetings with internal technical specialists
- Develop and nurture relationships with senior decision‑makers across multiple stakeholders to manage complex sales cycles
- Work closely with the wider commercial and product teams to support market growth strategy
What We're Looking For:
- Must have a background in financial software or Fintech solutions (selling into banks or financial institutions)
- Comfortable predominantly working US East Coast hours (GMT‑4) – later starts, later finishes (flexibility where required)
- Proven ability to build rapport and open new doors at senior levels
