Our client, a leading global consultancy, is looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join a major transformation programme within a secure public sector environment.
This is an opportunity for a strong SAP professional who can quickly integrate into the team and take ownership of SAP S/4HANA system provisioning, administration and landscape management activities from day one.
Location: Bristol (Hybrid - Up to 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 6 months initially, with potential extensions (2 year project)
Security Clearance:
- SAP S/4HANA system provisioning and landscape setup
- Initial SAP S/4HANA builds on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- SAP installation, Kernel upgrades and patching
- System configuration including clients, transports, RFCs and logical systems
- Support performance testing and HA/DR testing activities
- SAP HANA database administration
- Database sizing, setup, backup and recovery configuration
- Performance monitoring, tuning and system housekeeping
- SAP landscape management across Development, QA, Pre-Production and Production environments
- SAP log management and monitoring
- Strong hands-on SAP Basis administration experience
- Extensive SAP S/4HANA implementation and support expertise
- Experience provisioning SAP environments on AWS or other hyperscaler platforms
- Strong SAP HANA database administration skills
- Experience with SAP landscape design, sizing and environment strategy
- Proven experience delivering within large-scale enterprise SAP programmes
- Eligible to work on secure UK projects
