About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Tester who loves building things from the ground up. While we do have some automation in place already, you will design, architect, and implement the automation foundation for our new platform. You will own the technical direction of automation, choose the right tools, and create reliable test suites that support stable, high‑quality releases. You’ll collaborate closely with the QA sub-team leader, developers and product managers, and if you enjoy mentoring, there will be opportunities – but your primary focus is building the automation system that the team will rely on.
What You Will Do
- Design and build the automation framework for our new platform.
- Make key decisions on tooling, architecture, and testing strategy.
- Develop automated tests for core user journeys (signup, login, profiles, messaging, applications).
- Convert manual test cases into clean, maintainable automated scripts.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- Troubleshoot test failures and collaborate with developers for fast resolution.
- Improve test speed, reliability, and structure as the platform evolves.
- (Optional) Share knowledge and best practices with junior testers.
Requirements
- Strong experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
- Able to design test architecture and structure from scratch.
- Enjoys solving technical problems independently and owning outcomes.
- Comfortable collaborating with developers and product teams.
- Detail‑oriented, reliable, and fluent in English.
Acquired Skills and Work Experience
- Full ownership of automation architecture — rare in early‑career roles.
- Real experience building automation for a live, growing tech product.
- Close collaboration with global developers and product managers.
- A strong automation portfolio demonstrating design decisions, scripts, and frameworks.
- The chance to mentor others if that’s part of your growth path.
