Details About Opportunity
People in the Information and Technology teams have complete knowledge of computer software, hardware, and networks. They will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting our company’s IT infrastructure.
Software Architects make intuitive high-level decisions for software development to see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.
What You Will Do:
You will work closely with the IT Team to provide a framework for the development of software or systems that will result in high-quality IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business lines and IT to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications (Device Management, Developer studio, etc.).
- Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired products.
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
- Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.
- Successfully communicate all concepts and guidelines to the development team.
- Oversee progress of the development team to ensure consistency with initial design.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
- Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc.
- Approve final product before launch.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience in software architecture.
- Knowledge in consumer electronics and the retail environment (preferred).
- Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java, etc.).
Skills and Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or similar education in Software Architecture, Development, or IT.
- Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture.
- Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods.
- Interest in technology and the ability to quickly learn new products and features.
- Self-starter with a strong commitment to driving results.
- Enthusiastic, initiative-taking, and outgoing personality that is comfortable in a competitive environment.
- Professional demeanor, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
- Access to a PC/Laptop and Internet.
