About the Opportunity
Are you enthusiastic about people, opportunities, and tech startups? SkilledUp Life is looking for a Talent Acquisition Volunteer (Africa) to help identify, engage, and onboard talented individuals from African countries to join our platform and support global startups with skilled volunteer support. You will function as a user (volunteer) acquisition agent, sourcing talented individuals and connecting them to meaningful volunteer opportunities within startup teams, helping bridge gaps in skills and capacity. Your focus will be on helping more people from Africa access valuable career-building opportunities while also assisting tech startups to grow. Note: This is not a role in recruitment, or human resources; but in user acquisition. Our users are talents.
Activities
- Identify and engage prospective volunteers across Africa interested in gaining real-world experience.
- Use digital platforms, job boards, educational networks, and social media to reach potential users.
- Promote SkilledUp Life and our volunteer opportunities across relevant African communities.
- Support prospective users through the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with SkilledUp Life team to develop messaging that resonates with local audiences.
- Provide weekly updates on outreach and onboarding progress.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English and/or relevant African languages.
- Interest in user acquisition, community growth, and startup ecosystems.
- Familiarity with professional and educational communities in Africa.
- Ability to work remotely and independently.
- Prior experience in outreach or community engagement is a plus.

- 3 hrs. per day Monday to Friday
