3-Month Commitment | Fully Remote | Social Impact | Join a Great Team
We’re Equal Company – a growing software company helping businesses remove bias from hiring. Our mission is to create fairer, more equal workplaces. We’re building something meaningful, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
Right now, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team for a 3-month voluntary role. Don’t worry – this isn’t a full-time hustle. We’re talking one day per week (about 4 hours), and you’ll be making a real difference.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You’ll be assigned a geographic area to focus on.
- Using LinkedIn, you’ll identify HR managers in that region.
- Once they accept your connection request, you’ll follow a scripted message process (no writing from scratch needed!).
- You’ll track everything in an Excel sheet we provide – that’s your guide and your progress tracker.
- You’ll be part of a team that checks in weekly, shares learnings, and supports each other.
- You’ll be directly supported by Adam Botterill (our founder and CEO) – he’s easy-going, helpful, and fully committed to helping you grow personally and professionally.
What You’ll Need:
- A LinkedIn profile and basic knowledge of how to use it.
- A basic understanding of Excel (think filters, copy/paste, updating cells).
- A bank account (so we can pay for your LinkedIn Premium Career account).
- A bit of curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
What You’ll Get:
- A chance to work with an awesome, friendly team.
- Direct mentorship from a founder who wants to see you win – inside and outside the business.
- Real-world experience in tech, SaaS, and business development.
- The opportunity to explore other areas of the business if you’re curious.
- Be part of something that has genuine social impact – making hiring fairer for everyone.
- LinkedIn Premium Career account (on us!).
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in business development, HR tech, or startups, while making a difference and building their network.
