The platform, 7th Century Music was created to help independent artists to distribute, market and monetise their music using the custom software we’ve built.
The Opportunity Overview
As the AWS Cloud/Back-end engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the architectural framework of the platform. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of MERN Stack i.e. AWS, Git, MongoDB, REACT, NodeJs, HTML5, and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Your duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind. You will also be responsible for implementing new features to our platform, handling the integration of plugins and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop cloud-based applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines using Git and other DevOps tools.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments.
- Monitor application performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Proficiency in version control using Git.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
