Wombat Ward is a 16-bed paediatric level 3 inpatient unit caring for general, surgical, orthopaedic and mental health paediatric patients aged 0-17 years of age across the northwest coast of Tasmania. The paediatric team works closely as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in healthcare and achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian Community.
Essential Criteria- Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient-centred care and safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and departments
- Post-graduate qualifications in Paediatric Nursing (desirable)
