Position Type: Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (pro rata) with a 12% superannuation contribution.

The Position:
An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Older Persons Mental Health team based in North West, Tasmania. In this role, you'll work closely with individuals, their families, and both formal and informal support networks to help older people live their best lives. This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in people's recovery journeys while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to holistic healthcare approaches.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is a clinical expert in the area of practice and acts as a clinical resource for nursing, medical and allied health staff in the management of consumers with complex mental health needs, working with other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care within the designated area of practice.
The Older Persons Mental Health Services (OPMHS) work closely with both the public and private sectors to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for consumers, workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

Essential Criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Extensive, relevant psychiatric nursing experience and/or is credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse by the Australian and New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses Inc. or equivalent (desirable)
- Holds, or is working towards, relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable)
