We have a fantastic role available for a Staff Specialist (Rehabilitation Psychiatrist) looking for a permanent full-time post in Queensland, Australia. Situated on the coast in sub-tropical Queensland, this health service offers a diverse and dynamic healthcare environment that supports career progression, professional development and innovative healthcare solutions. Basic salary package of $273,019 - $346,157 plus relocation, bonuses and relevant add ons.

Brief outline of the role includes:

  • To provide an advanced standard of clinical care through the provision of assessment and treatment services to individuals presenting with psychiatric, emotional and/or behavioural disturbances to facilities within the health service, including those being treated under the Mental Health Act (2016).
  • To provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients of the health service, this includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.

Mandatory qualifications/professional registration/requirements:

  • Qualifications in Psychiatry, recognised by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA as a specialist medical practitioner in Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
  • Equivalent experience in a Comparable Health System.
  • UK/IE applicants who are working at Consultant grade are welcome to apply.
