  • Location: Launceston, Tasmania
  • Position Type: Multiple positions available, permanent, full time shift worker, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
  • Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 per annum (pro rata) employer 12% superannuation contribution. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support available for eligible UK/IE candidates.

The Position

Join the dedicated team on Ward 5A at the Launceston General Hospital, providing compassionate, person centred care for patients undergoing upper gastrointestinal, colorectal, urological and general surgeries. The Registered Nurse role strengthens the health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients, their families and other health professionals.

Ward 5A is a dynamic 32 bed surgical ward specialising in upper gastrointestinal, colorectal, urological and general surgeries. The team prides itself in having a strong, supportive culture and strives for high standards of care. The Ward is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of patients, clients and the Tasmanian community.

You Will Need

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an RN in a Surgical Ward.
