We are assisting our highly regarded client located in Melbourne's inner west, approximately 10 km from the CBD. The hospital is a reputable facility offering a range of services including emergency, surgical services, renal dialysis, community and mental health care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate mental health support, care, treatment and interventions to patients.
- Observe & assess the mental, emotional, physical needs of patients, including identification of "at risk" consumers and record with appropriate and accurate documentation.
- Care plan and discharge planning implementation.
- Display nursing skills that effectively alleviate patient distress which may manifest in challenging or atβrisk behaviour.
Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with APHRA.
- Experience & postgraduate qualification in Mental Health desirable.
- Sound working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014.
- Police & criminal history check.
- Working with Children check if requested.
- Immunisation health clearance prior to employment.
