Our client located in Murray Bridge are looking for full-time Automotive Vehicle Spray Painter.
This opportunity is to work with a supportive and well-established team of like-minded people in their workshop at Murray Bridge, SA. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated person able to work autonomously. We are looking for a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic workshop vehicle Spray Painter who has a high level of attention to detail in all areas and has a passion for the industry.
Responsibilities
- removing rough spots on vehicle panels
- treat vehicles with proofing chemicals
- sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders
- masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper
- colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint
- applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between
About you
We are currently seeking an experienced, driven and reliable Vehicle Spray Painter to join the Workshop team. As a Spray Painter, you will be responsible for spray painting as required in the workshop, including proper preparation of equipment by means of cleaning, sanding back and filing. You will enjoy working as part of a supportive team and look forward to building a career with a well-respected company.
Qualifications
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training OR
- At least three years of relevant experience
- Able to use a pneumatic-powered spray gun and the ability to carry out minor mechanical repairs is considered desirable for this position
