The Role
Due to continued growth, the business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the design and build delivery of a new community hub scheme, valued at approximately £13.7m. The project involves the construction of a modern, purpose-built community facility designed to support engagement, wellbeing, and cohesion within a growing local population. It is a high-profile, stakeholder-facing scheme delivered in partnership with a local authority / parish council, requiring strong leadership, communication, and programme control. This is a key appointment, offering full end-to-end responsibility and excellent visibility within the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Project Manager responsibility for a £13.7m new build D&B scheme
- Managing the project from pre-construction and design development through to completion and handover
- Programme planning, cost control, and commercial performance
- Managing consultants, subcontractors, and site teams
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and statutory requirements
- Reporting project progress and performance to senior leadership
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
- Strong new build and design & build experience
- Track record of delivering projects in the £10m–£25m range
- Experience working on public sector, community, education, or civic schemes is advantageous
- Confident managing stakeholder-heavy projects and client-facing environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Able to work regionally across Berkshire / Hampshire
