A leading UK construction and engineering contractor is delivering a large, high-profile commercial refurbishment in Birmingham city centre and is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor / Engineer to join the site team. The business operates nationally and is known for delivering complex, high-quality commercial and mixed-use projects.
This is a long-term contract role offering continuity on a major scheme with a structured programme and experienced delivery team.
The Role
- Overseeing electrical services installation on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with the programme.
- Supervising electrical installation works and managing specialist subcontractors.
- Coordinating electrical activities with other disciplines and trades.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
- Managing inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
- Supporting short-term planning, progress reporting and issue resolution.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.
About You
- Proven experience supervising or engineering electrical services on large commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of building services electrical systems.
- Experience working on complex refurbishment or city-centre schemes preferred.
- Confident communicator with a practical, delivery-focused approach.
