Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £45,000-£60,000 + Car Allowance
Skilled Careers are working with a Tier One Main Contractor who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of construction projects, maximise profitability and minimise contractual risks.
As Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs, budgets, cash flow and profitability.
- Procure and manage subcontractors, materials and plant orders.
- Negotiate and agree contract variations with clients and suppliers.
- Measure, value and monitor completed work, payments and invoicing.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain.
- Monitor project performance and support successful project delivery.
About You
- Experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role.
- A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Confident managing deadlines, budgets and competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems.
- A proactive team player who can also work independently.
