We’re looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to play a key role in strengthening existing relationships and securing new business opportunities across the construction sector. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands how construction businesses win work — whether through frameworks, negotiated contracts, repeat clients or strategic partnerships — and knows how to turn relationships into long-term value.
The Role
- Develop and deliver a business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Build, manage and grow strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities across targeted sectors
- Work closely with operational and pre-construction teams to convert opportunities into secured projects
- Represent the business at networking events, industry forums and client meetings
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate forecasts and reporting
About You
- Proven experience in a business development or client-facing role
- Background in construction, property, engineering or the built environment (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of procurement routes, frameworks and the construction sales cycle
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Commercially astute, self-motivated and results driven
- Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with wider teams
