My client, a PLC and NHBC award-winning developer, is looking for a Senior Site Manager for a brand new flagship scheme in Cottenham. The ideal candidate will have worked as either a SSM/SM on traditional build housing schemes/high volume and has experience of taking units from foundation to handovers. My client is an established housing developer with over 25 years' experience who is able to offer a competitive salary and career progression. This scheme will be 160+ units with a mix of private sale and HA.

Duties:

  • No1 on site, reporting to the Contract Manager
  • Working with a SM, ASM or a Trainee ASM
  • Chair sub-subcontractor meetings
  • Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
  • RAMS
  • Full understanding of H&S and ensuring it is adhered to
  • Snagging of sub-contractor work
  • Calls off/Materials
  • Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
  • NHBC stage inspections
  • Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
  • Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
  • Ensuring the development passes internal and external inspection processes
  • Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approving stage completions to payments to subcontractors
  • Completions, CMLS, Handovers

Qualifications:

  • No1 experience on traditional build schemes
  • Able to manage a fast-paced busy site
  • Able to train and manage any staff who report to you
  • New build, residential experience
  • CSCS, Black
  • First Aid, Scaffold awareness
