Regional Engineer – Midlands A leading main contractor delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments across the UK is seeking an experienced Regional Engineer to support its growing operations in the Midlands. Role Overview The Regional Engineer will provide technical leadership across multiple projects, ensuring design solutions are practical, efficient, and aligned with company standards. The role involves supporting both pre-construction and live projects, driving value engineering, and providing expert technical input to project teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering expertise during planning and pre-construction phases. Review and advise on design buildability, cost efficiency, and compliance. Support site teams with technical problem-solving throughout project delivery. Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and external consultants. Ensure all work meets building regulations, codes of practice, and health & safety standards. Promote sustainable and innovative construction methods. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement. About You Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline. Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE, IStructE or similar). Proven experience in construction engineering, ideally within residential/mixed-use projects. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Knowledge of Midlands planning and regulatory processes is advantageous.
