Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Brighton Package: £50,000 – £65,000 plus Car Allowance Skilled Careers are pleased to announce we have been selected to search for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a rapidly growing and very profitable, Main Contractor. Coming off their best year to date where they saw an impressive amount of work winning and growth, my client has an exciting opportunity within the Commercial Team. The Company: They are one of Europe's fastest growing Main Contractor's who are turning over £500m a year. They have seen a huge amount of growth this year while achieving amazing profit margins year after year. They currently have multiple live projects across the UK with values ranging from £15m up to £200m The Opportunity: The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on a £20m Commercial New Build Project in Brighton. You will be working as the Quantity Surveyor behind the commercial lead on the project. Role & responsibility: Work behind the Senior Quantity Surveyor on a £20m Commercial New Build Project in Brighton. Develop and encourage project team performance encouraging and ensuring that main contractual obligations and or strategies are executed and regularly reviewed. Complete and submit monthly CVR and progress reports. Demonstrate understanding of internal and external tender strategies / build up and work to the profit plan. Help to produce external valuations / cash flow to maximise project value. Help to produce main and subcontract final accounts Candidate description Must have 4+ years experience in quantity surveying. (main contractor experience is essential). Able to work under pressure. Commercial experience is essential. Industrial/ Leisure/ Data Centres or Life Science is ideal. Degree in Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Management is ideal Strong communication skills, confident in report writing and actively engaging in meetings. The role is site based. But does offer good flexibility. Please note: I have met the client face2face and have recently placed someone underneath them who is absolutely loving it.
