An established and growing engineering consultancy is seeking to appoint a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join its expanding team in Croydon. This is a key hire for the business, offering the opportunity to play a central role in the development of a relatively new office while working closely with senior leadership.

This position will focus on rail infrastructure projects, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to lead technical delivery across a varied portfolio of schemes. The role also offers significant responsibility, acting as a deputy to the Office Lead, with involvement in both project delivery and team development.

The Role:

  • Lead the delivery of rail infrastructure projects across a diverse portfolio
  • Act as Technical Lead and undertake CRE responsibilities on projects
  • Support and mentor junior engineers within the team
  • Work closely with the Office Lead on project delivery and operational growth
  • Contribute to the ongoing expansion and success of the Croydon office

About You:

  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience within the rail sector is essential
  • Ideally CRE qualified
  • Proven ability to take ownership of technical delivery
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach to team development
