We are currently recruiting for an experienced Static Electrical Engineer to join a busy Facilities Management team, supporting a modern healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a varied workload, working across both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring critical building services remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
- Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
- Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical systems efficiently.
- Maintain electrical plant and support mechanical building services where required.
- Ensure all maintenance is completed in line with SFG20, HTM guidance and current Health & Safety legislation.
- Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
- Maximise equipment reliability, performance and availability.
- Work safely in accordance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Recognised electrical qualifications with proven experience in Facilities Management or Building Services.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good working knowledge of mechanical plant and building services.
- Previous experience carrying out both PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Experience working within a call-out environment.
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience within healthcare or other critical environments would be highly advantageous.
