Trainee Assistant Site Manager Northern Home Counties

My client, a well-established residential developer, is looking to appoint a Trainee Assistant Site Manager to join their growing production team across a number of traditional build developments throughout the Northern Home Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from a trade background into site management, with clear progression into Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager level roles over time.

The Role

  • Working closely with the Site Management team, you will assist in the day-to-day delivery of large-scale residential developments, ensuring build quality, programme and health & safety standards are maintained throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Site Management team with the daily running of the development
  • Assisting with the management of subcontractors on site
  • Monitoring build quality and ensuring works are completed to specification
  • Supporting internal and external inspections, including NHBC stages
  • Helping to drive programme and ensure key targets are achieved
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed across site
  • Assisting with customer care, handovers and completions
  • Supporting the management of internal and external packages depending on experience
  • Maintaining accurate site records and progress reporting

Requirements

  • Previous experience within construction, ideally from a carpentry, bricklaying or general trades background
  • Traditional build residential experience would be advantageous
  • Ambition to progress into site management
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
