Trainee Assistant Site Manager Northern Home Counties
My client, a well-established residential developer, is looking to appoint a Trainee Assistant Site Manager to join their growing production team across a number of traditional build developments throughout the Northern Home Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from a trade background into site management, with clear progression into Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager level roles over time.
The Role
- Working closely with the Site Management team, you will assist in the day-to-day delivery of large-scale residential developments, ensuring build quality, programme and health & safety standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Site Management team with the daily running of the development
- Assisting with the management of subcontractors on site
- Monitoring build quality and ensuring works are completed to specification
- Supporting internal and external inspections, including NHBC stages
- Helping to drive programme and ensure key targets are achieved
- Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed across site
- Assisting with customer care, handovers and completions
- Supporting the management of internal and external packages depending on experience
- Maintaining accurate site records and progress reporting
Requirements
- Previous experience within construction, ideally from a carpentry, bricklaying or general trades background
- Traditional build residential experience would be advantageous
- Ambition to progress into site management
- Strong communication and organisational skills
