My client, a well-established residential developer, is looking to appoint a Trainee Assistant Site Manager to join their growing production team across a number of traditional build developments throughout the Northern Home Counties.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from a trade background into site management, with clear progression into Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager level roles over time.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Management team, you will assist in the day-to-day delivery of large-scale residential developments, ensuring build quality, programme and health & safety standards are maintained throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Site Management team with the daily running of the development
  • Assisting with the management of subcontractors on site
  • Monitoring build quality and ensuring works are completed to specification
  • Supporting internal and external inspections, including NHBC stages
  • Helping to drive programme and ensure key targets are achieved
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed across site
  • Assisting with customer care, handovers and completions
  • Supporting the management of internal and external packages depending on experience
  • Maintaining accurate site records and progress reporting

Requirements

  • Previous experience within construction, ideally from a carpentry, bricklaying or general trades background
  • Traditional build residential experience would be advantageous
  • Ambition to progress into site management
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
