Skilled Careers are currently recruiting for a labourer with storeman responsibilities in Cheltenham GL51 to start ASAP for ongoing work. Must be able to provide references from previous employers, valid ID/Passport, full PPE, and must hold a valid CSCS Green Card. Reliable candidates are offered £17 per hour PAYE.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction tasks and the ability to work collaboratively on-site. This role requires hands-on experience with tools and equipment, as well as a solid understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
Duties:- Assist in various construction projects, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and masonry.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks.
- Engage in hardscape projects, including tile laying and flooring installation.
- Support the installation of cabinets, doors, and glass fixtures.
- Execute plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Proven experience in construction or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software for project management is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction management practices and estimating techniques is beneficial.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation is an advantage.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of construction site protocols.
- Proficiency in various trades such as welding, roofing, fabricating, and restoration work is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
