Health & Safety Advisor – Construction Location: Maidstone Day rate: £200 - £250 per day depending on experience  Job Type: Full-time Experience: Minimum 2 years’ construction health & safety experience We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and support the delivery of high standards of health, safety and welfare across our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in construction health and safety and hold a NEBOSH qualification. You will play a key role in ensuring our sites operate safely, meet legal requirements and maintain a strong positive safety culture. Key Responsibilities Provide professional health and safety advice to site teams, management and contractors. Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety checks. Identify hazards and provide practical recommendations to control risks. Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant health and safety legislation. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and assist with implementing corrective actions. Deliver health and safety inductions, briefings and toolbox talks. Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation. Support site managers and project teams in promoting a strong safety culture. Liaise with contractors, subcontractors and other stakeholders regarding health and safety matters. Keep up to date with changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practice. Essential Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction health & safety role. NEBOSH qualification. Good knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation. Experience conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments. Strong understanding of RAMS and construction site safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and provide practical, solutions-focused advice. Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Full UK driving licence would be desirable. Desirable NEBOSH National General Certificate. IOSH membership or similar professional membership. CSCS or equivalent construction-related certification. Experience working across multiple construction sites. Additional qualifications such as First Aid, SMSTS or Temporary Works training
