We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Multi-Trader to join our growing team working within the social housing sector. This role involves carrying out a wide range of repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works in occupied and void properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of carpentry work including doors, kitchens, flooring, and repairs.
  • Complete multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering, and decorating.
  • Perform responsive and planned maintenance in social housing properties.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service when working in tenants’ homes.
  • Accurately record job details and materials used.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a carpenter or multi-trader, ideally within social housing.
  • Strong carpentry skills with additional trade knowledge.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds) preferred but not essential with strong experience.
