A residential developer is looking to appoint a Site Manager to oversee a new residential development in Holbeach, Lincolnshire. The scheme consists of 100 traditional-build, two-storey houses, all being delivered for a Housing Association (HA). This would be a great opportunity for either an experienced Site Manager or a strong Assistant Site Manager looking to take the next step into their first Site Manager role. Ideally, you’ll have a background in residential construction, with experience of partnerships or affordable housing schemes advantageous.
You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, working alongside a full production team to ensure the development is delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to a high standard.
Duties:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the scheme
- Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets
- Managing the day-to-day operation from piling - foundation to completion, and the critical paths for labour, materials and plant, including material lead times
- Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
- Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
- Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
- Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
- Ensuring the development passes internal and external inspection processes
- Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are followed and adhered to
- Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
- Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approving stage completions to payments to subcontractors
Qualifications:
- Experience of working on traditional build schemes
- Would suit an experienced ASM looking to step-up
- HA experience would be an advantage
- First Aid
- Scaffold awareness
